Silver Kitchen Journal

Editorial policy

Silver Kitchen Journal aims to make kitchen topics clear, accurate and useful. We distinguish explanation from opinion, check factual statements before publication and revise published material when a meaningful error comes to light.

Accuracy and clarity

We check claims against suitable information and review that explanations fit their context. We define specialised cooking terms, avoid overstating what a method can achieve and make uncertainty clear where a subject does not have one universal answer. We do not present personal preference as a rule.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and the subject, not because a product or partner has asked for favourable treatment. Any commercial relationship that affects a piece will be disclosed clearly alongside that material.

Corrections

If you spot an error or unclear passage, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and detail in question. We review correction requests, update material when warranted and make significant changes clear to readers.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is identified so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, this will be indicated with the illustration.

Our point of view

Good cooking begins with understanding

Knowing what a method changes makes recipes easier to adapt and choices easier to make. We explain the reasoning, then leave room for your own taste.
