Write for us
Silver Kitchen Journal welcomes pitches that help readers understand cooking, kitchen choices or food traditions with care and precision. Send proposals through the Contact page, using the editorial question option and explaining the idea in your message.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear explanations of ingredients and techniques, thoughtful comparisons of tools or methods, adaptable approaches to meal planning, and well-grounded pieces about food traditions. A useful contribution gives readers a distinct question to consider and answers it in language a general reader can follow.
A strong pitch
Tell us the central idea, why it matters to home cooks and what the piece would help them understand or decide. Include a proposed angle and a brief account of the knowledge or material you would use. Keep the scope focused, avoid claims that need professional advice and flag any commercial interest relevant to the proposal.
How to send it
Use the Contact page to submit your proposal. Pitches should be original, carefully framed and clearly distinct from subjects already covered. A proposal is not a commitment to publish, and material should not be presented as commissioned unless that has been agreed.
Good cooking begins with understanding
Knowing what a method changes makes recipes easier to adapt and choices easier to make. We explain the reasoning, then leave room for your own taste.
